Hot Water System Supply & Installation Package

  1. Scope of Work

    Includes supply and installation of a new hot water system (HWS), with all standard labour for safe connection to existing services. Work is performed by licensed technicians and complies with Australian Standards and local regulations.

  2. Package Inclusions

    • New hot water system supply (as quoted)
    • Standard installation labour
    • Basic electrical and/or gas connections (where existing supply is adequate and compliant)
    • Standard plumbing connections to replace existing unit
    • System commissioning and safety testing
    • Customer handover with usage and maintenance instructions
  3. Exclusions

    Quoted price excludes additional works or modifications, such as:

    • Non-standard valves, fittings, or pipework
    • Supply upgrades or modifications
    • Concrete base or structural changes
    • Drainage or overflow solutions
    • Switchboard, electrical, or gas upgrades
    • Removal/disposal of old units (unless specified in writing)
  4. Additional Charges

    Any non-standard items or extra work will be quoted separately and only performed with written customer approval.

  5. Customer Responsibilities

    • Provide safe and clear access for installation
    • Ensure sufficient space/clearance for unit
    • Verify supply compliance
    • Arrange required approvals or permits if needed
    • Ensure an adult (18+) is present during installation
    • Secure pets and keep area accessible at agreed time
  6. Installation Timeline

    • Estimated timeframes advised at booking
    • Standard jobs typically completed in 1 business day
    • Timelines may be affected by weather, supply, or site complications
    • Reasonable notice given for installation or changes
    • Works performed during standard business hours
  7. Warranty Coverage

    • Unit: Manufacturer’s warranty (varies by brand/model)
    • Installation: Sarros lifetime workmanship guarantee
    • Warranty claims require full payment and maintenance compliance
  8. Site Assessment

    • Pre-installation site assessment may be required for non-standard jobs
    • Assessment fee may apply if installation cannot proceed
    • Customers advised in advance of special requirements
    • Installations may be rescheduled due to site conditions
  9. Acceptance

    Booking an installation confirms the customer has read, understood, and agrees to these Terms and Conditions.

Gas Hot Water System Supply & Installation Package

  1. Scope of Work

    Includes supply and installation of a gas hot water system by licensed Sarros gas fitters, compliant with Australian Standards, WA plumbing codes, and gas safety regulations.

  2. Package Inclusions

    • Gas hot water unit supply
    • Standard installation labour
    • Basic gas connections (where supply is adequate and compliant)
    • Standard plumbing to existing HWS location
    • Flue installation and venting (standard configuration)
    • System commissioning and gas leak testing
    • Customer handover and operation instructions
    • Gas compliance certificate
  3. Exclusions

    Quoted price excludes:

    • Isolation valves, additional fittings, or pipework
    • Gas line extensions/upgrades
    • New gas meter or supply upgrades
    • Concrete slabs or equipment pads
    • Flue extensions/modifications
    • Electrical connections for gas systems with electrical components
    • Structural modifications or access improvements
    • Removal/disposal of old units (unless specified)
    • Council permits or approvals
    • Gas leaks on existing property gas service/appliances
  4. Additional Charges

    Additional materials or services will be quoted and require written approval before commencement.

  5. Customer Responsibilities

    • Site readiness and clear access
    • Adequate space for unit placement
    • Compliant and accessible gas supply
    • Obtain necessary permits/council approvals
    • Adult (18+) present during installation
    • Pets secured and area clear
    • Disconnect existing gas appliances if required
  6. Installation Timeline

    • Estimated timeframes communicated at booking
    • Standard installations completed within 1 day
    • Timelines may change due to weather, supply, or site issues
    • 24–48 hours notice of installation date
    • Works during standard hours (7am–4pm)
    • Gas compliance testing completed same day where possible
  7. Warranty Coverage

    • Unit: Manufacturer’s warranty (varies by brand)
    • Installation: Sarros lifetime workmanship guarantee
    • Parts/labour: Manufacturer covers parts; Sarros covers installation
    • Warranty activation requires full payment and system registration
    • Regular maintenance recommended for warranty validity
  8. Site Assessment

    • Pre-installation assessment may be required for complex jobs
    • Assessment fee may apply if installation cannot proceed
    • Customers advised of site-specific requirements in advance
    • Installations may be rescheduled if site is unsuitable
    • Gas supply adequacy assessed on site
  9. Safety & Compliance

    • All gas work by licensed WA gas fitters (PL8405)
    • Gas compliance certificate issued on completion
    • Complies with AS/NZS 5601 standards
    • Mandatory gas leak testing performed
    • Safety shutdown procedures explained at handover
  10. Acceptance

    Proceeding with installation confirms customer acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

Switchboard Requirements for Electric Hot Water Systems

  1. Pre-Work Requirements

    • Asbestos switchboards must be upgraded and replaced before works commence
    • All defects must be rectified before new works
    • Comprehensive inspection conducted prior to commencement
  2. Compliance and Safety

    • All works comply with AS/NZS 3000 and WA Electrical Requirements
    • Permits and inspections as required
    • Modifications must meet current standards
    • Main power isolation and safety barriers during works
    • PPE and safety protocols enforced
  3. Scope Limitations

    • Works limited to agreed scope; additional defects quoted separately
    • Meter box upgrades may require Western Power approval
    • Existing cable condition assessed on-site
    • Clear and safe access required
  4. Testing and Certification

    • All circuits tested for compliance
    • Electrical Safety Certificate issued upon completion
    • Remedial works quoted if circuits fail
  5. Customer Responsibilities

    • Switch off appliances before works
    • Provide safe, hazard-free environment
    • Arrange alternative power if needed
    • Do not modify completed works
    • Future works must be by licensed electricians
  6. Warranty and Liability

    • Sarros Lifetime Workmanship Guarantee covers installation works
    • Guarantee covers workmanship only, not equipment failures
    • Not liable for pre-existing faults or property damage during power isolation
    • Force majeure may affect completion timeframes
  7. Variation Management

    • Scope changes require written approval
    • Additional costs quoted before proceeding
    • Customer may refuse variations, but original scope must meet safety standards
  8. Completion and Handover

    • Labels updated to reflect new configuration
    • Customer briefing on operation and safety features
    • Documentation and certificates provided
    • Customer sign-off required before completion
    • Photo documentation retained for quality assurance
  9. Acknowledgment

    Proceeding with switchboard works confirms customer acceptance of these terms.

Rebates & STCs for Supply & Installation Packages

  1. Government Rebates & Small-scale Technology Certificates (STCs)

    For eligible supply & installation packages, Sarros will process Small-scale Technology Certificates (STCs) and apply the value as a point of sale discount on your invoice. You receive the rebate immediately—no paperwork required on your part.

  2. Eligibility & Processing

    • STC eligibility is based on system type, property location, and government policy.
    • Sarros will confirm your eligibility and the STC value at quotation.
    • STCs must be assigned to Sarros as part of the agreement.
  3. Application of Discount

    • STC rebate is deducted from your invoice at point of sale.(Supply & Instllation Package)
    • No further action is required from you—the discount is immediate.
  4. Changes to Rebates

    • Government rebate programs and STC values may change without notice.
    • If rebate values change before installation, Sarros will notify you and update your quote.
